The Mission
"What if there were an 'AI Mily' that could carry forward her vision — to help NESB patients get their healthcare needs met, just like everyone else?"

Capyra was founded by Mily, a nurse who witnessed firsthand how language barriers impacted the quality of care for Non-English Speaking Background (NESB) patients. Throughout her nursing career, Mily saw how patients struggled to communicate their needs, often leading to delays, misunderstandings, and poorer health outcomes.

One day, Mily had an idea: What if she started accompanying elderly Chinese patients to their medical appointments, using her medical knowledge to help with translation and advocacy? While this made a meaningful impact, she quickly realised that as one person, there was only so much she could do.

That's when inspiration struck. And so, our flagship product AI Mily was born: a medically attuned interpreter, designed to bridge the gap in communication between physicians and NESB patients.
